Warehouse doesn’t get left in the dark

Backup our UK distribution centre
When the lights go out at one of your high street stores, you might have to turn your customers away. If you can’t restock the shelves at any of your stores throughout the region, they’ll walk away themselves, and might not come back!
Evidently, this major retailer had considered the downstream effects of a mains supply failure at their distribution centre. Through their international electrical engineering arm, they asked JS Power to make sure the power kept running when the mains failed.
JS Power Solution:
Two diesel generators
We supplied and installed a pair of 500kVA diesel generators to backup their distribution centre. We also added two 11,000 litre fuel tanks bunded according to DEFRA oil storage requirements, bunded pipework, and included a generator servicing contract.
With 90% of current UK nuclear power stations to be decommissioned by 2023, and the new wave of nuclear power stations unlikely to fill the deficit in time, it looks increasingly unlikely that UK industry will face electricity supply difficulties.
Armed with a pair of generators and JS Power’s maintenance regime, our clients will be in a position to cope with whatever the mains power supply throws at them, or doesn’t, in the future.
