Leading supermarket chain leads the field with second Bio Diesel Generator

This leading supermarket wanted to ensure their customers don’t have an excuse to try any other store. For their newly built store, they wanted emergency power to keep their lights and fridges on when no-one else could.
What is more, they saw an opportunity to meet the renewable fuels obligation imposed by planning conditions and minimise impact on the environment and their neighbours.

Sound attenuated Biodiesel generator
In a continuation of our relationship with this supermarket chain, JS Power worked closely with their electrical contractors in supplying a 250kVA biodiesel generator to produce green power. Once the planning condition is met, the site reverts to mains power and the biodiesel generator acts as a backup generator, ready to step in automatically should the mains power fail.
To reduce impact upon their neighbours and customers, the 250kVA biodiesel generator was fitted with a noise-reducing canopy that attenuates noise to 85dBA at one metre.
