JS Power Employees Jump for Charity

Jonathan, Mick and Phillip hoped to take to the skies over Bridlington on Saturday 26th January 2008 in order to raise money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation™ by completing a tandem parachute jump. However, it was sadly put on hold due to bad weather.

But, undeterred, they made the trip back to Bridlington hoping that the weather would improve. Fortunately for our brave heroes, it did.

At 9.30am Jonathan, Phil and Mick took off into the air as their family and friends watched on. 20 minutes later and, more importantly, 12,500ft higher, our three intrepid heroes took the plunge. Travelling at speeds of up to 120 miles an hour, none of them wanted their adventure to end.

After free falling for 1 mile their professional instructors deployed their parachutes so Jonathan, Phil and Mick gently glided into and onto land, thus raising £1000 for a very special charity.

“Would you do it again?” they were asked.

They all answered: “You Bet!”

The money the trio raised for the Make-a-Wish Foundation™ means that more children struggling with life-threatening and terminal illnesses will have a wish come true.
